In Silver (Domains Pt 4 of 4)
Silver Domain, where only the most elevated of the Domains’ guests have access. We have now reached the final chapter of the series, where all will be revealed and the Domains will become the centre of a conspiracy that will envelop all in its arms. The beating heart of the Domains is where women rule and men are chattels for their amusement, where a new phase of politics will hatch from. In this final and vast volume of the Domains tetralogy, we see the resolution to all that has gone before and much else besides.
This vast novel, almost as large as the previous three totalled together, rewards the faithful reader with the finale of endings and new beginnings that have been revealed in the previous three volumes. Characters that we have met before play their parts as a crisis unfolds that places all at risk. As the vultures wait, the storm clouds gather and the plots become twisted, we catch more than a fleeting glimpse of Silver Domain.
The story begins two years before the events that we saw in Roan, and then carries them to a triumphal conclusion two years after those events. The female President of the USA finds herself making promises that she knows that she cannot keep, forces from both sides press her to action, will she be strong enough to outmanoeuvre them all and impose her stamp on the future. The plot veers once again to become a thriller, but be sure, there is no letup in the FD side of the tale, because it plays a vital central role to finish with a powerful flourish as the action moves to the White House.
Originally plotted as a five part series, the sheer length and power of ‘In Silver’ required that the grand finale arrive after a volume that is more than twice as large as originally planned to make the read seamless and complete.
